Quick and Easy Kalamata Pita Pizza



Pita calls out in its leavened flatbread way, “‘make me into a pizza”, so we answered its call. And yet, this recipe is uniquely un-pizza.

When you think of pizza, heavy with a base of tomato sauce, it may make you wish for something light and healthy while yet fulfilling. Our Pita Pizza is light and healthy and still piled high with lots of good stuff while keeping the cheeses we love about traditional pizzas.

Full of the best flavors and dense nutrition of our authentic Greek extra virgin olive oil, olives and tomatoes, this is deliciousness delivered in a few, easy steps.



  • whole-wheat pita bread
  • 2 Tbsp Tassos® Extra Virgin Olive Oil, plus extra for drizzling
  • ¼ cup Tassos® Kalamata Bruschetta
  • 1 can artichoke hearts, drained
  • 3 Tassos® Sundried Tomatoes, quartered
  • 2½ oz soft goat cheese, sliced or crumbled
  • 1 Tbsp shaved Romano cheese
  • 2 Tbsp minced fresh basil

Cooking Directions


Preheat oven to 425°F.

Brush pita bread with 2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil. Spread with Kalamata bruschetta and sprinkle with artichoke hearts, quartered sundried tomatoes, and goat cheese. Drizzle evenly with extra virgin olive oil.

Bake until crust is crisp and cheese begins to melt, approx. 15–20 minutes. Sprinkle with Romano cheese and fresh basil.


Cut into wedges and serve warm.
