Greek Deli Panini



Panini is literally the Italian word for a warm or grilled sandwich. It is fun to say Panini but if you wish to call this a sandwich, we will not judge, especially, since we have given this Italian sandwich lots of Greek overtones.

The bread is an important feature with a Panini, but here the contents are king. This is a healthy meal that is satisfying to make and eat. The flavor of the artisanal light yellow, sharp flavored Greek (Kefalotiri) Cheese, in our highly spreadable Roasted Red Pepper & Cheese Spread, is delicious when paired with a hardy cured meat. This sandwich, oops, Panini is flavor layering at its best.

The key to picking a wine to go with this Greek Deli Panini is too choose one with a higher acidity; bubbly is wonderful. Perhaps, champagne? Amber ales with a mild, sweet flavor also balance the salty, spiciness.



• Individual-sized ciabatta loaf or bread of your choice

• 2 Tbsp Tassos® Roasted Red Pepper & Cheese Spread

• 3 Tassos® Sundried Tomatoes

• 2–3 slices provolone

• 2–3 slices ham

• 3–5 slices pepperoni

• 3–5 slices Genoa salami

• 1 Tbsp Tassos® Extra Virgin Olive Oil

• 4 Tassos® Pimiento Stuffed Greek Olives

Cooking Directions


Preheat oven to broil or prepare an electric grill.

Slice ciabatta loaf and spread roasted red pepper and cheese spread on both sides of the bread. Layer with sundried tomatoes, cheese, ham, pepperoni, and salami. Brush outside of sandwich with extra virgin olive oil.

Place in an electric grill or under broiler for approx. 5 minutes, until cheese is melted and center is warm.


Enjoy warm with side of stuffed olives.
